Since deciding on what prints I will be exhibiting, today I’ve decided to order my prints ahead of the deadline next week. In previous years of the degree, I haven’t taken into consideration the certain criteria you have to follow in order to have a high quality exhibition.
One of my fellow classmates had recently ordered his frames from the local market shop which specialises in frames – providing a wide range of sizes, colours and custom frames.
I decided to go with A3 size frames for four of my prints, with a beach wood framing. I initially preferred an oak wood, however, as I am displaying this along the Perspex installation, I didn’t want the frames to over power the main focal point. Going too light with the framing, for example white, wouldn’t seem as fitting for my project, as I feel wood brings a certain aspect of family photographs displayed in Home environments.
